  • Your national high school graduation examination (huikao)
  • Your senior middle school diploma
  • An overview of your subjects and grades from the grades 10 to 12 (if your huikao-exams have only been assessed as "pass")

If you graduated from a DSD school, you will need to submit the following documents:

In order to calculate your grade, we need your school’s grading system. If it is not shown on your certificate, please submit it as well.

You have studied at a university in the People’s Republic of China? Then the Academic Testing Centre in Beijing ("Akademische Prüfstelle", APS) needs to check and certify your academic performance. This is necessary irrespective of your citizenship. You will need to submit the following documents:

  • The original APS certificate. We cannot accept copies, not even if they are officially certified. We can verify your digitally signed APS certificate online. Simply upload the original PDF document to your My assist account within the application deadline.
  • Your bachelor‘s degree certificate, if you have already completed the bachelor‘s degree
  • An overview of subjects and grades from a four-year bachelor‘s degree at an accredited university
  • Your senior middle school diploma
  • If you have had your certificates checked using the APS document screening process (“Dokumentenprüfverfahren”) without the APS Interview, you need to submit certificates covering all of the years that you attended school, starting with primary school.

If you hold a German-Chinese double degree, you will need to submit an overview of subjects and grades from either your Chinese university or your German university.

  • Your Chinese transcript must include all of the modules completed at the German university with grades in the Chinese grading system.
  • If you want to apply with your German transcript, your degree will be evaluated as a German qualification. Please make sure if uni-assist is responsible for evaluating your application before you apply – you might have to apply directly to your chosen university.
