Step 1 Get information in advance

If you would like to study in Germany and uni-assist is responsible for your application, this is the page for you. If you are interested in a bachelor or Master’s course, you can find out about the requirements here. Then, ask your chosen university about the application criteria for your chosen course of study.

Step 2 Plan your application

Check how to apply via uni-assist. Plan your application using our checklists and notes on deadlines. In some cases, special rules may apply, for example if you need a preliminary review documentation (VPD).

Step 3 Assemble your documents

Create scans of all the required documents. Check whether translations are required and, if necessary, have them made by a Court-certified translator.

Once all your documents are ready, continue with step 4.

Step 4 Apply online

Register in My assist. Create an online application form for each chosen course. Upload documents for your applications.

Once you have applied online, continue with step 5.

Step 5 Pay all fees

Pay the handling fees for all your applications. The processing time begins once we have received your paid online application form.

Step 6 Send and Track

Track your application’s status in your My assist account.
