Notes on university admission:

Please note that a high school diploma from Canada alone will only qualify you for entry to the Studienkolleg (preparatory course) in Germany, provided your diploma meets the requirements issued by the Central Office for Foreign Education (Zentralstelle für ausländisches Bildungswesen – ZAB). Direct admission to studies in Germany may only be possible with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or a Québec Diplôme d’Études Collégiales préuniversitaire, if additional specific criteria are met.

If you have studied in an academic programme at an accredited institution for at least one year, you may also be eligible for direct entry to universities, provided your secondary school certificate meets the requirements at least for entry to the Studienkolleg.

For information on the specific admission requirements, please check the databases of the German Academic Exchange Service - DAAD or the Central Office for Foreign Education- ZAB (German only).
