Notes on translations

If your school leaving certificate is issued in two languages (English/Arabic) and contains your personal information (name and date of birth) in Arabic only, we will need an additional certified translation of the certificate into German or English.

Was your school leaving certificate issued in German? If so, we can accept that document as a translation.

Notes on certification of certificates from 2015 onwards

Have you obtained a secondary school certificate or a bachelor's degree from 2015 onwards at an educational institution in Yemen that is not under the control of the official government in Aden? According to the anabin database of the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB), the status of such educational institutions is currently "conditionally recognised". Therefore, all certificates obtained at such educational institutions from 2015 onwards must be certified by the responsible Ministry of Education in Aden and bear the official stamp of the ministry in charge:

- Secondary school certificates must be certified by the "Ministry of Education" in Aden.

- Degrees and academic achievements from universities must be certified by the "Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Technical Education and Vocational Training“ in Aden.

Alternatively, you can have your certificates certified at the Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in Berlin.

The regulation applies from 15.01.2024.
