Regular course duration
The number of semesters set as the standard for completion of a course of study.
The regular course duration is set by the university.
Bachelor courses are usually set to a duration of six semesters for "Universitäten" (universities) and eight semesters for "Fachhochschulen" (universities of applied sciences).
A master’s course is set to a duration of two to four semesters.
The actual duration of study may be different from the regular course duration.
