Standard procedure

Most uni-assist universities use the standard procedure. Find out how to apply using the standard procedure here.

The standard procedure

Using the standard procedure, we check the criteria that the university has set for the uni-assist pre-check.

After a positive evaluation, we forward your application and documents to the university in electronic form. The university then decides on your admission and informs you of the decision.

Universities that use the standard procedure

You can find out whether your chosen university uses the standard procedure from our list of uni-assist universities and directly from the university. The university can advise you which documents you need to upload in your My assist account.

Processing times

After you have submitted your online application form, it generally takes us between 4 and 6 weeks to process applications to universities using the standard procedure.

Apply as early as possible, ideally at least 8 weeks before the deadline. We will then have time to inform you if any documents are missing.

Important: Upload all of your documents into your My assist account within the application deadline. uni-assist can process your application, even after the deadline for you to submit your application has passed. We have agreed on our own deadlines with the universities for the processing of applications.
