Notes on documents
If you have a school leaving certificate from the Netherlands, you will need to submit the following documents:
- Official HAVO or VWO diploma issued by your school or DUO in Dutch, including an overview of subjects and grades
- A certified English or German translation of your official HAVO or VWO diploma, including an overview of subjects and grades
The HAVO or VWO diploma issued in English by DUO is not sufficient because it does not currently include an overview of subjects and grades.
If you have a MBO-4 Diploma from the Netherlands, you will need to submit the following documents:
- Official MBO-4 diploma issued in Dutch, including an overview of subjects and grades that lists the“generieke examenonderdelen“, „“specifieke examenonderdelen“ and “keuzedelen“
- A certified English or German translation of your MBO-4 diploma, including an overview of subjects and grades
The MBO-4 diploma issued in English by DUO is not sufficient because it does not currently include an overview of subjects and grades.
If you have studied at a university/university of applied sciences in the Netherlands, you will need to submit the following documents:
- An official transcript of records showing all courses and credits completed during your degree
If you have completed your bachelor’s degree, we will also need:
- Your Degree certificate and Diploma Supplement
or
- A provisional proof of award (if the Degree certificate was not yet issued)
If your study programme was divided into a propedeuse and a main phase of study, we will also need a transcript of records for the propedeuse.
We are unable to accept a “Study Progress Overview“/“Studievoortgangsoverzicht“ that does not include both the name of the issuing institution and a signature and stamp from the university.
We are also unable to accept transcripts that do not specify to which study programme the modules belong.
If your original certificates are in Dutch, we will need also a certified translation of the originals into German or English.
