A translator who has taken an oath at a court.

In Germany, depending on the federal state ("Bundesland"), court-certified translators are called:

  • "vereidigter Übersetzer"
  • "allgemein beeidigter Übersetzer"
  • "ermächtigter Übersetzer"
  • "öffentlich bestellter Übersetzer"
